Repeat a Signature on Selected Pages of One PDF

Repeat a selected signature within one PDF by entering the required page numbers or ranges, then reviewing every target page. This saves repeated placement work without assuming that different pages have identical layouts.

Write down the intended pages before repeating

Identify the pages that actually require the mark. Do not assume that every page in a long PDF needs the same signature just because one does. Check appendices, cover pages, and instructions separately. Use the page positions shown in the editor rather than a printed page label that may start later in the document.

For example, if the signature belongs on the first page, pages three through five, and page eight, the intended set is 1, 3, 4, 5, and 8. Keep that short checklist beside the document. It makes review easier and helps catch a signature accidentally added to a cover or a page that uses a different approval area.

Get the first placement right

Insert a prepared signature or stamp on a suitable source page. Check its colour, transparency, proportions, and position before creating more placements. A white rectangle or clipped stroke will be repeated along with the ink. Resize proportionally and keep the mark inside the visible page without covering nearby text.

The Paperkiss editor is in development and includes a “Repeat on pages” workflow for the selected element. This operates inside the currently open document. It is not a multi-file batch-signing feature, a CSV workflow, or a way to send signature requests to several people. Keep those jobs separate when choosing a tool or planning your work.

Enter an explicit page range

In the implemented workflow, select the placed element and choose the page-repeat action. Replace the proposed range with your intended pages. A range such as 1, 3-5, 8 means page one, pages three to five, and page eight. Review the separators and endpoints before confirming; a misplaced hyphen can include pages you did not intend.

The current range parser rejects zero, descending ranges, and numbers outside the document. It sorts and deduplicates the requested page numbers. The repeat operation creates placements on the selected target pages and skips the source page already holding that element. These checks help with range entry, but they do not determine whether a form actually requires a signature there.

  1. Select the correctly placed element on its source page.
  2. Open Repeat on pages and enter the intended range, for example 1, 3-5, 8.
  3. Confirm the operation, then review pages 1, 3, 4, 5, and 8 individually.
  4. Check a page outside the range and inspect any page with a different size or orientation.

Review mixed page sizes and orientations

A relative position is not the same as an identical physical offset on every page. A landscape appendix, a smaller receipt page, or a rotated scan may need a different placement. Paperkiss adjusts repeat geometry to keep the artwork’s proportions across differing page aspect ratios, but you still need to inspect where the mark lands.

Visit each target page, including the smallest page and any page whose orientation differs from the source. Compare the signature with the intended line, not just the page border. If one copy overlaps a heading or moves outside the page, select that placement and adjust or remove it. Do not compensate by distorting the signature or moving every copy to suit one unusual page.

Verify the page set and the completed file

Use your original checklist to confirm both positive and negative cases: every required page should contain the correct mark, and pages outside the set should remain clear. If you repeat again, inspect for overlapping copies rather than assuming the operation recognizes earlier duplicates. Save a draft if you want to keep the placements editable.

Export a new PDF copy and reopen it. Check the page count and revisit the target pages in that output, especially any manually corrected copy. A completed PDF is separate from the saved draft. If you instead export page images, the result is a set of image files for selected pages, not a single multipage PDF. Choose the output that the recipient actually requested.

Questions and answers

Can this repeat across a folder of PDFs?

No. This article describes repeating an element on selected pages of one open PDF. Multi-file batch signing is outside Paperkiss v1.

Will a repeated signature always sit on the correct form line?

No. Page sizes, orientation, and layouts can differ. Review every target page and adjust individual placements when necessary.

What if I include the source page in the range?

The implemented operation skips creating another copy on the element’s source page. Review the document after any further repeat operation to avoid overlapping copies elsewhere.
