The license and conditions that apply when you download or use CallReady.
1. Agreement and Store Terms
These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and GagarinSoft, the publisher of CallReady identified in Microsoft Store. They apply to CallReady and its updates or supplements unless different terms accompany a particular update.
Your acquisition and use of the app are also subject to the applicable Microsoft Store terms, usage rules, account requirements, billing rules, and mandatory consumer protections. If a provision of these Terms conflicts with a non-waivable law or a controlling Microsoft Store rule, that law or rule controls to the extent of the conflict.
2. Limited License
Subject to these Terms, payment or trial conditions shown in Microsoft Store, and applicable Store rules, GagarinSoft grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use CallReady on Windows devices linked to your Store account for lawful personal or internal business purposes.
CallReady is licensed, not sold. GagarinSoft and its licensors retain all rights not expressly granted. You may not sell, sublicense, rent, lease, redistribute, remove proprietary notices, bypass technical restrictions or licensing controls, or reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except to the extent applicable law or an open-source license expressly permits it.
3. What CallReady Does — and Does Not Guarantee
CallReady provides informational, point-in-time checks of selected Windows camera, microphone, speaker, lighting, device, and network conditions. Results depend on hardware, drivers, Windows permissions, network conditions, third-party services, and the settings of the meeting app you later use.
- A READY result does not guarantee that Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex, a browser, or any other service will work or select the same devices.
- Results can become stale immediately when a device, permission, application setting, driver, or network condition changes.
- Connection measurements are estimates and do not guarantee call quality, bandwidth, availability, or service performance.
- Face-presence and lighting checks are approximate visual aids, not identity, biometric, medical, accessibility, safety, employment, or professional assessments.
- CallReady is not an emergency, safety-critical, medical, legal, financial, employment-screening, or telecommunications monitoring service.
You remain responsible for checking the actual meeting application's selected devices, permissions, preview, test-call function, and current network before relying on a call.
4. Privacy and Permissions
Use of camera, microphone, device, local diagnostic, Store, website analytics, and network-test information is described in the CallReady Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having permission to display people or surroundings in the camera preview and for complying with laws and workplace policies that apply to your device and environment.
5. Third-Party Components and Services
CallReady contains open-source and Microsoft components listed in the Third-Party Notices. Their licenses apply to those components and may grant you additional rights.
The connection check depends on Cloudflare's public speed-test service. Microsoft Store provides acquisition, licensing, billing, updates, and related services. GagarinSoft does not control and is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, terms, or privacy practices of third-party services. Those services may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue access without notice.
6. Trial, Purchase, and Refunds
Trial duration, price, taxes, payment methods, purchase rights, regional availability, and any refund or cancellation rights are the terms displayed by Microsoft Store at the time of the transaction. Microsoft processes Store transactions. Nothing on the CallReady website creates a separate refund promise or changes mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.
7. Updates, Support, and Availability
GagarinSoft may provide updates, modify checks, change compatibility, or discontinue all or part of CallReady. Updates may be required for continued operation. Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis at gagarinsoft@gmail.com, without a guaranteed response time, resolution, service level, maintenance period, or continued availability.
8. “AS IS” Warranty Disclaimer
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CALLREADY, ITS RESULTS, DOCUMENTATION, UPDATES, AND SUPPORT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES, CONDITIONS, OR REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY KIND.
GagarinSoft disclaims all express, implied, statutory, and collateral warranties and conditions, including merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, compatibility, uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, and that defects will be corrected. No oral or written information creates a warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions. In that case, the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted, and your non-waivable statutory rights remain unaffected.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GAGARINSOFT AND ITS LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE; LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, OPPORTUNITY, CONTRACTS, GOODWILL, REPUTATION, OR DATA; DEVICE OR NETWORK FAILURE; MISSED, DELAYED, OR DISRUPTED CALLS; OR THE COST OF SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS OR SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH LOSS MAY OCCUR.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GagarinSoft's total aggregate liability arising from or relating to CallReady or these Terms will not exceed the amount you actually paid for CallReady. This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any mandatory consumer remedy.
10. Suspension and Termination
Your license ends automatically if you materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using and uninstall CallReady. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and third-party notices—continue to apply. Store-level access may also depend on Microsoft account, payment, device, and usage rules.
11. General Terms
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining terms will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without GagarinSoft's consent; GagarinSoft may assign them in connection with a reorganization, sale, or transfer of the product or business, subject to applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the law that applies under mandatory conflict-of-law and consumer-protection rules. Nothing here deprives you of non-waivable rights or a forum available under the law of your place of residence.
12. Changes
GagarinSoft may update these Terms prospectively for legal, security, operational, or product changes. The effective date will be shown above. Where required by law, material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel and will not apply retroactively without a lawful basis.
