Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By installing or using Text Replacements for Chrome and Edge (the “Extension”), you agree to these Terms of Use. The Extension is provided by GagarinSoft. The terms of the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons, whichever you installed from, also apply.

2. License

GagarinSoft grants you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Extension. You may not resell it, or copy, modify or redistribute its code except as applicable law allows.

3. What the Extension Does and Does Not Guarantee

The Extension replaces shortcuts you define with text you define, in text fields of websites you allow. Websites differ in how they build text fields, so the Extension may not work on every website or in every field, and a website may change in a way that stops it from working. It does not work on browser pages, extension store pages, or in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.

4. Passwords and Sensitive Fields

The Extension does not expand shortcuts in password fields and skips fields it recognizes as card number, card security code or one-time code fields. It cannot recognize every sensitive field on every website. Check expanded text before you submit it, and pause the Extension or turn it off for a website when you enter sensitive information.

5. Your Content

Your shortcuts and replacement text are yours. You are responsible for their content and for how you use them. Do not use the Extension to send spam or to break the law or the rules of the websites you use.

6. Privacy

How the Extension handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Price

The Extension is free and has no in-app purchases. Links to GagarinSoft's paid Windows apps lead to the Microsoft Store, whose terms apply to any purchase there.

8. Updates and Support

GagarinSoft may update the Extension, change its features, or stop offering it. Support is provided by email on a best-effort basis.

9. “AS IS” Disclaimer

The Extension is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, GagarinSoft is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from the use of or inability to use the Extension, including text inserted or not inserted by it. Keep an exported copy of your library.

11. General

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These terms do not limit rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

12. Changes

If these terms change, the date above is updated. Continuing to use the Extension after a change means you accept the updated terms.
